Modern Inkwash (2025)
The self-trained LoRA Modern Inkwash blends the art styles of representative 20th-century Chinese artists, Wu Guanzhong (1919–2010) and Lin Fengmian (1900–1991), reinterpreting the cross-cultural aesthetic of modern Chinese art.
The Modern Inkwash LoRA produces unexpected yet distinctive results across different base models—from Chinese ink painting to Western Impressionism and even Japanese anime—while retaining the essence of both artists’ styles.
This is an early exploration, with future work focusing on refining the LoRA and developing a unique model that carries cultural heritage into a new, contemporary visual language.
The base models applied in this project were downloaded from publicly available sources. All copyrights of the original base models remain with their respective creators.
